Fennel stalk stakes

Today at Lyttleton Gardens, Manu has pruned the fennel herb. The aromatic young fronds and mini-bulbs from it are available in Pantree, perfect for tea, or in salads and fish dishes. Older stalks are almost as strong as bamboo stakes. We'll be using them to stake our broad-bean plants.
